The nostalgia is there, of a bygone era when community came together and relished certain times of year when the fairgrounds were booming with hoards of people. The nostalgia is present.
What isn't present, is the upkeep, the fresh coat of paint and repairs. Mind you, a month before Fair, there should be a swarm of tradesmen making certain It's clearly suitable for thousands of people coming to hear performers sing, see fair exhibits, Etc.
It was nice. A little on the dirty side but cannot blame anyone but the visitors for that
I do believe the grounds should be used more, different events, different times of the year. I hate to see something so attached to Jackson's past, fall by the wayside and become neglected.
Great time out, chose your day according to who will accompany you. Children or adults spending is different. I went with my Son and Grandchildren and had a blast. I'm almost 60 and money was no problem in comparison to there memories with me. We ate, drank and went on every ride they were tall enough to ride. What fun and great memories we had.
Everyone loves a country fair! Great acts this year, Aaron Tippin, Mark Chesnutt and Sammy Kershaw
It's time for a major overhaul, which I hope comes soon, because in easedropping conversations, it's been mentioned nearly everywhere I go...so now, I'm looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about.
Ample parking for event at the American One Events Center. People controlling parking lot and directing where to park. Was warm inside the building. It was a cold day!
